This project involved designing a cohesive visual system for the Spring Stoudamire Showcase, a multi-purpose event celebrating the Stoudamire as a community hub, marking the groundbreaking of the Angela Brown Wilson Gardens, and launching ECN’s Rooted in Wellness Capital Campaign.


The goal was to create consistent marketing and event graphics across digital and physical platforms. This included pre-event social media content, on-site monitor graphics for real-time information, and visual materials that supported the guest experience throughout the event. I also documented the event through photography and video, capturing both atmosphere and community testimonials.


A short-form video developed with Digital Detroit Media extended the visual storytelling, highlighting the gardens and their role as a new green space centered on community, wellness, and environmental engagement.

	The Goal︎
The goal of this project was to create an engaging campaign experience that highlighted the Spring Stoudamire Showcase as the kickoff event for Eastside Community Network’s Rooted in Wellness Capital Campaign. It showcased how the Stoudamire served as a hub for wellness, education, and community impact on Detroit’s Eastside. Through marketing materials and event documentation, the project increased awareness of ECN’s programs and demonstrated how its services supported long-term growth and equity for residents.


	The Concept︎The concept of the Rooted in Wellness campaign was to emphasize the importance of investing in spaces, programs, and resources that create long-term health and stability for the community. Centered around the Stoudamire campus, the campaign highlighted how wellness extends beyond physical health to include youth development, safe housing, environmental sustainability, social support, and economic opportunity. 
By using the idea of being “rooted,” the campaign symbolized strong community foundations, growth, and lasting impact for Detroit’s Eastside residents.

	The Spring Stoudamire Showcase was a meaningful moment to see the work connect across the community. Along with 91+ residents who showed up, the event brought in civic leaders, funders, healthcare partners, and ECN stakeholders from circles connected to the State of Michigan, City of Detroit, Knight Foundation, Gilbert Family Foundation, Henry Ford Health, and ECN leadership. 
Through our marketing and communications work, I helped shape the message, create shareable materials, and give partners the tools to promote the event within their own networks. Seeing residents, partners, and leaders all come together reinforced how intentional storytelling can move beyond promotion and help build real community momentum.

This project aims to create a concise, engaging 2-minute explainer video exploring the transformative impact of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) on the music industry. The video will educate viewers on the social and functional significance of MIDI, using research to highlight how this technology revolutionized music creation and accessibility. By standardizing communication between digital instruments and computers, MIDI enabled multi-instrumental arrangements with minimal resources, making music production more accessible to both amateur and professional creators.

The goal of this project is to create an engaging and informative video that examines the transition from analog to digital music production in the 1980s. The video will explore how this shift transformed the overall sound of music during that era, influencing the techniques and styles that define modern music today. 	The Concept︎The increasing popularity of home studio audio equipment in the 1980s lowered the barrier to entry for musicians who previously couldn’t afford professional studio time. Central to this revolution was the introduction of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), a technology that simplified the process of making adjustments to electronic instruments. This innovation provided both emerging and established musicians with an accessible gateway into the rapidly evolving world of digital music production, fostering creativity and experimentation.

My goal for this project is to blend the visual aesthetics of my generation’s most popular rap music with research into the creation and impact of MIDI. By doing so, I aim to showcase how this groundbreaking technology shaped the music industry and empowered artists, highlighting its cultural and creative significance.

	The Goal︎

I wanted to make the aesthetic of this video reminscent of a lounge video.&#38;nbsp; My main inspirations for this video were cooking channels on Youtube like Binging with Babash and Bob Ross painting tutorials. The goal was to create a warm, relaxed, inviting environment for people who are now to alcohol culture and were curious about the process.
 
	
	The Concept︎I chose to film this video in my childhood home, in front of my brother’s bar cart containing all the liquor used in the video. My brother has shown me the basics when it comes to mixed drinks, and I have learned to take those concepts and make my own drinks. The primary goal of this video is to show someone who is unfamiliar with the world of mixing cocktails. The recipe that I chose is fairly simple, and requires a few ingredients that are relatively inexpensive. This was to avoid alienating anyone who had little to no alcohol knowledge. As someone who was once scared about trying alcohol unprepared, I know that it can be overwhelming without a proper introduction.&#38;nbsp;

Michigan has a huge water pollution problem. Too many people in Detroit don't have safe drinking water or don't know what they are drinking and how it could affect their health in the long run. We want to help end this issue, starting right from residents' homes. My team aimed to increase the amount of transparency that residents have about the content of their water, eliminating the need to rely on legislatures for accurate information.

I worked on this project in collaboration with two of my design colleagues Riley Hamady&#38;nbsp;&#38;amp; Izzy Shargabian

	The Goal︎
Our goal was to give people the power to understand what it is they are drinking, without the interference of governmental entitites. We wanted to develop a way for someone to get all of the information needed about their water, including possible contaminants and chemical in a simple, easy-to-understand format. Removing this barrier would be the catalyst for change, putting transperency back into people’s hands.

	The Concept︎
We wanted to design an app that accompanies a system of 5 devices that allow for you to analyze the chemicals and pollutants in your water. Our system of Drop, Tap, Sip, Carry, and Pipe let you know exactly what's in your water and if it's safe to drink. We also wanted to provide educational materials that give lower to middle-class residents of Detroit the power and transparency they otherwise wouldn't have.


	What I Learned︎
This project taught me the intricate nature of keeping a brand identity consistent. Additonally, it made me more invested in the journey of creating a journey for an app that was intuitive. I never realized the thourghness that an app has to be designed with to ensure that people can navigate it without too many questions. Lastly, this taught me how to design with target audience in mind throughout the process

	The Concept︎
I wanted to make a brand identity that both educated the children of San Jose about earthquakes through interactive products while also being practical for the adults. This brought my to the idea of creating products that all rattle, roll, and shake. This brand identity would be completely based around flipping the destructive nature of earthquakes into something more physical and playful.

My goal for this proejct was to detail the career of Type Designer Toboas Frere- Jones’ career through the lense of his own typography. Using his work as a framework, I wanted to create a set of posters detailing the most notable typefaces that he has been a part of.

	The Concept︎I wanted to create series of posters, 9 in total, showcasing the many cases that people have seen his work and how it came to fruition. Some of the typefaces were used by companies that I interacted with almost daily. With that in mind, I created a series of nine posters that detailed the three distinct eras I had noticed in his career. I had taken inspiration from promotional mailers that some type foundries used to advertise their typefaces. I did this with the goal of both bringing more visual interest and more information about each type family.

	The Concept︎

For the focal point of this portfolio piece, I chose Harley Quinn from DC Comics. While she's a character many recognize, her backstory might not be common knowledge. In my design process, I focused on her Jester archetype, as outlined in my research. I aimed to capture the gritty, worn aesthetic that reflects her origins and surroundings. Each card in the set interacts uniquely with the typography, adding depth and personality. Consistent type treatment across most cards ties the collection together seamlessly.
